Please join us as we leverage third-party cloud, like OpenStack to power services for Cloud Foundry applications! Cloud Foundry will provide services such as MySQL by default, but managed as external services. In a traditional deployment, CF would deploy a MySQL cluster via BOSH and would “create DATABASE” for each service instance (which can lead to fairly complex environments). This session will share our experience of how to offer services by leverging efforts from self-host IaaS cloud, public cloud, or even individual contributors to reduce service sprawl and deliver the benefit of tighter integration.
