Keynote: Creating an Open Enterprise PaaS Cloud Platform - Wei-Min Lu, Yuebin Shen & Liangyue Xu, Anchora/MoPaaS
Mobile-first and cloud-native become basic requirements of enterprise IT cloud architectures. As an integral part of enterprise cloud computing solutions, PaaS plays a key role in continuously delivering business values and building sustainable competitive market advantages for enterprises. In this talk, we will discuss how to leverage open cloud technologies, such as cloud foundry and docker , to build an enterprise cloud platform solution that enables continuous innovation with mobile-first and cloud-native considerations and create an open cloud service ecosystem, including how to design their architectures; in particular, we will cover the following topics:
• The merging of cloud technologies. Integrating and consolidating different open cloud technologies to enable multi-granular resource allocation and management to provide the desirable flexibility and visibility for enterprise IT architectures and meet different business application needs:
– Consolidating various cloud computing models , such as IaaS and PaaS, to offer computing resources ranging from infrastructure to applications.
– Providing multi-granular computing resources, such as VMs and containerized resources of various sizes to meet applications' needs.
– Streamlining app lifecycle management to for the users to effectively manage their app development, deployment, and operations.
• Micro-service architecture. Leveraging micro-service architecture to build a flexible enterprise cloud platform that supports cloud-native enterprise applications.

Keynote: KPIT’s Digital Transformation Journey Fueled by Pivotal Cloud Foundry - Manoj Mone, Software Architect, KPIT
Over the next couple of years, KPIT aims to grow from 500 Mn to 1Bn in revenue, and much of this will be fueled by products in the IoT, Intelligent Transportation Management systems and Digital Transformation. As a first step we decided to embark on journey of Digital transformation within our own organization. After an assessment of internal application landscape, we found the key area of transformation was in the way the processes were defined on and off the system. We evaluated various stacks of technology and architecture. Cloud Foundry and the microservices paradigm is what we finally selected. User Experience, Mobility and crowdsoursing, were the key guiding principle that was used for assessment. In this talk, we intend to present how we made the decision to use Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and what our experience has been in getting started on this journey of Digital Transformation.

Deciphering the Buzzword Bingo - Duncan Winn, Pivotal
In a world drowning in terminology, how do make sense of the current trends in IT: XaaS, Cloud Native, Micro Services, Containers, Agile, Continuous Delivery, Platforms, Abstraction, Dev Ops, IoT, Reactive Programming?... What do they it all mean. How should you consume them?

This talks reviews recent IT trends and how Platforms like Cloud Foundry instigate change, both technically, and more importantly, organisationally. For example how do you structure your teams, how does Cloud Foundry help with continuous Delivery? The essence of Cloud Foundry is not what it is, or even what it can do, it is about what it can do for you. That's what this talk will unpack.

Keynote: Microservices for enterprise with PaaS - Dr. Hewei Liu, Lead Architect, Huawei
Microservices is a new trend in enterprise for building applications. However,  enterprise faces many challenges in building distributed Microservices-based cloud native applications. These challenges include, not limited to,  how to define the boundary for a Microservice,  how to manage potentially large number of Microservices, how to secure them,  and how to manage Microservices dependency by an application. This presentation talks about how PaaS platform, including Clound Foundry, can help addressing the challenges, from service development,  deployment, discovery, binding, and monitoring and scaling.

Shape your future of business service from any stage with Helion PaaS

Our conversation is usually about infrastructure, but we’re moving to concerns about
apps. Because apps, soul of the enterprise business, is the essence of Idea Economy.
However, with each new app that has unique requirements the cost of operations and
maintenance goes up.  Enterprises often have 10ks of apps and the number is rising.
Some apps are subject to regulations, others can run anywhere. It’s not sufficient to
empower JUST developers…
Enterprises need a solution that fits in their environment and requirements on apps. HPE
Helion PaaS is such a reliable, proven, modern way to deploy and manage applications
more easily. As an enterprise grade Platform-as-a-Service, HPE Helion PaaS includes:
1) HPE Helion Stackato—it addresses the problem of cloud vendor lock-in with an open,
interoperable platform, which is based on the industry-leading open-source Cloud
Foundry, by abstracting out the complexities of the cloud underpinnings for developers.
2) Helion Development Platform—It is available as an optional add-on for HPE Helion
OpenStack or HPE Helion CloudSystem. HPE Helion Development Platform provides
highly available integrated application services and is built for HPE Helion OpenStack. It
is ideal for production applications and dev/ test environments.
