Keynote: KPIT’s Digital Transformation Journey Fueled by Pivotal Cloud Foundry - Manoj Mone, Software Architect, KPIT
Over the next couple of years, KPIT aims to grow from 500 Mn to 1Bn in revenue, and much of this will be fueled by products in the IoT, Intelligent Transportation Management systems and Digital Transformation. As a first step we decided to embark on journey of Digital transformation within our own organization. After an assessment of internal application landscape, we found the key area of transformation was in the way the processes were defined on and off the system. We evaluated various stacks of technology and architecture. Cloud Foundry and the microservices paradigm is what we finally selected. User Experience, Mobility and crowdsoursing, were the key guiding principle that was used for assessment. In this talk, we intend to present how we made the decision to use Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and what our experience has been in getting started on this journey of Digital Transformation.

Shape your future of business service from any stage with Helion PaaS

Our conversation is usually about infrastructure, but we’re moving to concerns about
apps. Because apps, soul of the enterprise business, is the essence of Idea Economy.
However, with each new app that has unique requirements the cost of operations and
maintenance goes up.  Enterprises often have 10ks of apps and the number is rising.
Some apps are subject to regulations, others can run anywhere. It’s not sufficient to
empower JUST developers…
Enterprises need a solution that fits in their environment and requirements on apps. HPE
Helion PaaS is such a reliable, proven, modern way to deploy and manage applications
more easily. As an enterprise grade Platform-as-a-Service, HPE Helion PaaS includes:
1) HPE Helion Stackato—it addresses the problem of cloud vendor lock-in with an open,
interoperable platform, which is based on the industry-leading open-source Cloud
Foundry, by abstracting out the complexities of the cloud underpinnings for developers.
2) Helion Development Platform—It is available as an optional add-on for HPE Helion
OpenStack or HPE Helion CloudSystem. HPE Helion Development Platform provides
highly available integrated application services and is built for HPE Helion OpenStack. It
is ideal for production applications and dev/ test environments.
